Good news
I'm glad Howard Dean's the new chairman of the Democratic Party. I like how postive his focus is. He mentions staking a claim in the "moral high ground" where Republicans claim to dwell, and I think that's a good priority. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2&u=/ap/20050213/ap_on_el_ge/democrats
Oh my word, I just made a link. My blog may actually be stumbling towards relavancy (hmm is that a Sarah McLaughlan album?).
On sadder news, a favorite magazine The Other Side, is going out of print. It's a "progressive" Christian magazine that we used during our "Bible study" at Wesley in Iowa. www.uiowa.edu/~wesley Ok, now that's two links. You all should be standing up and applauding by now. I miss that Bible study because it really pointed me towards some good authors. I really liked stuff by bell hooks (she doesn't capitalize it. also it's not her real name. pretentious, yes. fun - definitely!), and Anne Lamott. I won't make links for them. You know how to google.
